Hey, nice to have you around here!

Just to be clear, all the artwork you see on this page has been created with AI, with various levels of manual editing.

A few words about me: I’m a self-taught digital artist from Finland, currently living in Helsinki. I’ve been involved in the creative industry for 25 years, working with several Finnish agencies before setting up my own one-man design studio in 2009.

Though I’ve always been interested in visual arts, I never found the time to fully get into it. Instead, I focused on creating work for my clients, and as anyone who has worked with corporate clients knows, things can become uncreative real quick.

My artistic journey really started in early 2023, when I discovered generative AI while doing research for a work project. This novel approach to art-making, which allowed me to realize even my wildest visions, was mind-blowing to say the least. It reignited my creative spark and eventually led me to shift my focus away from my career as a UX/Graphic designer, allowing me to dedicate more time to exploring the possibilities of AI-driven art—a decision I haven’t regretted.

What fascinates me most about working with AI is its ability to lead me down unexpected creative paths. Quite often, the process takes me in a direction I hadn't originally planned, and that unpredictability is what makes this technology so exciting. AI has given me the tools to create visuals that feel fresh and original—images I couldn’t achieve by any other means.

My creation process always starts with an idea. Sometimes it's a very concrete one, but other times it’s a more of a vague concept that takes shape as I begin working. I often start by generating quick sketches on my mobile phone, but I always finish the work on a bigger screen, where I can fine-tune the details. From start to finish, a project can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to complete.

I’m often asked which artists I reference in my prompts, but the truth is, I don’t reference any. My goal isn’t to replicate or emulate existing works — I’m focused on creating something truly original and visually distinct. However, I do realize that it’s very difficult to create truly original art, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find someone using a style similar to mine. Given the amount of variables involved in my process, that would be purely coincidental.

For those interested in the technical details, here are the tools I use: Midjourney for image generation, Magnific AI and Topaz Gigapixel AI for upscaling, and Photoshop and Lightroom for final editing.

Take a look around my shop, and feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions! And yes, I'm also available for commissioned work.
